Wolf Appliance Service Mercer Island · WA

The Lakes

The south-end community around Island Crest Way, where built-in wall ovens and induction cooktops are the more common Wolf installation and access panels are usually behind cabinet returns.

The Lakes is inside our normal Mercer Island route, which is the practical difference between a two-hour arrival window and a whole day at home waiting. Because the whole service area is one island, a second visit for an ordered part is rarely more than a few days out.

Most Wolf installations here are set into millwork that was built around the appliance. Floor protection goes down before anything is moved, the unit comes out on the gas line's own slack rather than being dragged, and the anti-tip bracket is re-engaged and checked in front of you before we leave.

  • Whole row of hood lights flickered whenever the blower started. He traced it to a shared connector rather than the LED bank, and it has been steady ever since.

  • Two touch controls stopped answering, then a whole row went. Not the glass, he said, and he was right — the control ribbon had lifted. Working again on one visit.

  • Induction element shut down with a fault code every few minutes and I assumed the whole cooktop was finished. It was a cooling fan behind the inverter. Careful with the stone surround throughout.
