Hood rattled badly at the top two speeds. It was a loose blower wheel, not a dying motor as I had been told. Balanced and quiet again, and he vacuumed the ducting.

Steam was hanging in the kitchen no matter which speed I used. The blower was fine; a collapsed duct section above the ceiling was not. He showed me photographs before quoting.
